Perfect Pumpkin Pie

In Kappler kitchen, we are really proud of our Pumpkin Pie! I think about this dessert every Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Then I wonder why I had to wait until the end of the year -just to taste it again.  Pie from scratch is the best!  Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pie crust (9 inch unbaked)
  • 1 can (16 ounce) can pumpkin
  • 1 (14 ounce) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

How to make it:

  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Combine all ingredients and mix well.  Pour into pie shell.  Bake for 15 minutes.
  3. Reduce oven to 350 degrees.  Continue to bake 35 to 40 minutes.  Insert knife in pie, when it comes out clean -then pie is done.
